Global Liquidity is picking up driven by the private sector

Global Liquidity is picking up. The main contributor to this week’s rise (and indeed the previous three weeks’) is the collateral multiplier. Falling bond market volatility has reduced the haircut applied to collateral. This indicates that the gains are largely driven by the private sector. Central Bank liquidity growth remains weak.
